Colin Crawford

Colin Crawford was named President and CEO of International Data Group’s (IDG) PC World and Macworld in March 2007. Most recently he served as SVP, Online, IDG Communications where he led IDG’s transformation from a print publisher to a media company with a strong focus on online information and events. Crawford returns to Macworld where he began his IDG career as COO in 1993 and was promoted to president and CEO during his 10 year tenure.

While SVP, Online, IDG Communications, Crawford was responsible for launching IDG Connect, a major new initiative supporting U.S. media companies through electronic lead-generation to promote white papers and webcasts using IDG’s extensive database of print subscribers, online readers, and event attendees. Prior to this role he served as IDG’s VP, Business Development and Operations. Before joining IDG, Crawford was managing director of Dennis Publishing Ltd., one of the largest independent publishers of computer magazines in the United Kingdom.

Crawford was honored with the 2007 Top Innovator Award in online publishing from BtoB Media Business. He was also recently chosen as one of “Folio:’s 40”, a comprehensive compilation of the leading innovators in business media. The Folio: article acknowledges Crawford’s significant strides in the online world, “The company has been experiencing staggering growth in its digital revenues over the last few years, thanks in part to the efforts of Colin Crawford, who, as senior vice president, online, has been leading a cultural and operational revolution within IDG to accommodate what he sees as the company’s new central business model.”

In February 2007 he chaired the Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) annual “Magazines 24/7” Digital Conferences event.  Crawford has also spoken at the Stanford University Publishing Course, other MPA events, Folio e-publishing seminar, and media days at investment firms–Jordan Edmiston Group International and DeSilva & Phillips. Crawford holds an ACA from the U.K. Institute of Chartered Accountants and a B.A. from the University of Kent at Canterbury.

Over the past several years, through Diane's leadership, Amazon Consulting has grown in client success and industry awareness and is now considered the premier channel and alliance consulting and management company. Diane leads a team of highly skilled channel and alliance development experts, in four specific competency areas: consulting, partner management, technology and intelligence. Diane maintains an active hand with many client engagements and is a frequent contributor to industry articles and conferences.

Before founding Amazon Consulting, Diane held executive positions in channels, sales and marketing roles at several high technology companies. Diane holds a master's degree in business administration from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in quantitative economics from the University of California at San Diego.

Frank Paniagua, Jr. has spent his entire career involved in start-ups. Frank was the co-founder of the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA), and was Vice President of Worldwide OEM Sales at RasterOps and VideoLogic (both companies executed successful IPO's). In addition, he was founder of KidWise LearningWare, co-founder of Eskape Labs, co-founder of AutoNetworks, and president of IXMICRO. EskapeLabs, IXMICRO and AutoNetworks were acquired.

Frank has a long and consistent history of success, including 23+ years of "solution selling" into the industry's most respected high technology and consumer electronic manufacturers, including Apple, Compaq, Digital Equipment, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Sun and Sony.

Frank's expertise is his exceptional ability to builld and grow new ventures into successful companies. His last tenure was as a partner for Trusted Strategies, an IT security consulting firm. Frank holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from California State University Hayward.

Paul Kopacki is Director of Developer Marketing at Salesforce.com, where he is driving the growth of a strong developer community around the world’s leading on-demand enterprise platform. Before joining Salesforce.com, Paul worked for Apple as Senior Group Manager of Developer Relations, where he led the Apple Developer Connection web team and played a key role in building a healthy developer ecosystem around Mac OS X.

Paul has held previous developer relations positions at Rational Software, now part of IBM, and Catapulse, a start-up focused on web-based development tools. Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware, and a Master of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College.

18 years ago, after a six-year career in the airline industry, Fred Walters made the transition to high-tech marketing. With a focus on customer service and satisfaction, he held a variety of senior management positions at Apple, Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, and Interwoven. He has successfully led implementations of numerous customer-facing applications, from CRM and ERP, to complex e-commerce systems.

Frustrated with the limitations of out-of-the-box enterprise applications, when Fred co-founded Before the Call, a company focused on making enterprise applications more effective and driving higher return on investment for customers. It is through this wealth of experience that Fred is able to combine technical aptitude with the business acumen that is essential for any successful IT implementation.

Fred holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from San Jose State University.
